In 2015, Drobo—known for its user-friendly external storage and “BeyondRAID” tech—needed a website that matched its innovative reputation. Their existing site felt outdated, and they wanted more than just a redesign; they needed a tool to let users build a custom Drobo tailored to their storage needs.
I led a full site refresh, creating a clean, intuitive interface and partnering with their developers to launch an interactive “Build Your Drobo” module. Users could explore options in real time, making complex choices feel simple and accessible.
The result improved engagement and conversions, giving Drobo a smarter, more customer-focused online experience. While the company shut down in 2022, this project remains a standout example of meaningful UX-driven design.
